Nerdizen.xyz — Havoc-OS is one of popular custom ROM project know for it’s pixel style user interface along with plenty customizations. And now, finally this ROM comes to our unpopular ASUS Zenfone Live L2 Android phone!
After so long I waited a Havoc-OS ROM would be created so I can install it on my little ASUS Zenfone Live L2 Android phone (a real ROM, not just GSI-based), finally after one or two years maybe, the day has come 😄. Huge gratitude to the dev who ported this Havoc-OS Android Q ROM.
Until this post first published, this Havoc-OS Q is my daily driver I used on my ASUS Zenfone Live L2 Android phone. I love this ROM for it’s performance thanks because it built as vanilla.

Havoc-OS Q ROM quick review on my ASUS Zenfone Live L2 Android phone
On previous post I have shared about the Evolution X Q custom ROM for ASUS Zenfone Live L2, and compared to this Havoc-OS I can say that both ROMs shares similar features except the GAPPS presented in Evolution X.
In fact, I would preferred the Evolution X Q rather than Havoc-OS if it did not have stock GAPPS included. Because of the stock GAPPS, the Evolution X is just too unresponsive, more battery hunger, and more storage space used (personal opinions).
Just like I said, this Havoc-OS Q has been my daily driver on my ASUS Zenfone Live L2 Android phone for maybe ± 3 months now. It’s pretty stable , even FM radio and Miracast are working.
But, to increase the performance especially when multitasking when using this Havoc-OS Q ROM, I suggest you to enable zram. You can read it here: How to Enable zram on Android.
Bugs on the Havoc-OS Q ROM on my ASUS Zenfone Live L2 Android phone
However, I noticed a few bugs when I used this Havoc-OS Q ROM on my ASUS Zenfone Live L2 Android phone, and it is :
- Dark video on stock camera app when using front camera. Solution: Install another camera app like HedgeCam, Open Camera, etc.
- SIM card setting of call preference always revert back to SIM 1 after a reboot.
